9/11/06 - Play for Peace Day - a World of Performances for Peace - from noon to 1:00PM in each continuous time zone, starting in Eastern (US). Please join us in a peaceful assertion by those who do not subscribe to war and conflict, but believe that peace is a stronger humanitarian force.

The Play for Peace program calls for performances from noon-1:00 PM in each consecutive time zone around the world on 9/11/06, the fifth anniversary of the event that has thrown the world into an escalating turmoil.

We hope that this idea for 9/11/06 captures your interest and support. If so, please enlist and join performers around the world in order to promote the power of peaceful expression.

We encourage individuals, groups and especially those working through music education programs to be a positive influence in their communities.

Music and/or dance performances in public venues as encouraged.

Include your performance in this world-wide program simply by contacting us at info@RPeace.Org with your information. If you can assist with recruiting other performers - especially in remote areas and in the oceanic time zones - we would be most grateful.

Please include your location, time zone, name of the performance, venue, contact name, phone number and e-mail address, as well as any school or community group affiliation. Your listing will appear on the roster as we post updates to the global schedule on www.RPeace.org in the weeks and months leading up to 9/11/06.
