¡Globalquerque! will be a weeklong celebration of international culture with elements spanning the entire state, culminating in the two-day festival at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. There will be educational workshops, community outreach events, foreign films, a global village and, of course, the best in World Music on three distinct stages.
¡Globalquerque! will present a wide range of artists from around the world including representative artists from New Mexico’s varied musical traditions. A staggered schedule will allow people to sample the broadest range of performances in the cozy Salón Ortega, the state-of-the-art 691-seat Albuquerque Journal Theater and the outdoor Plaza Mayor stage.

¡Globalquerque! 2006 will feature a variety of official and affiliated events, including:
* 3 stages of music over two nights
* A Global Village containing food and crafts from around
the world (open all day)
* Free daytime programming for families and adults,
including workshops on music and folklore, crafts and live
performances
