Patna -- Many of us may have heard of jokes telling how an operation scissor, hand glove or pen was left out in a patient’s stomach. But Patna doctors recently had a tough time attending to a patient complaining stomachache due to a bottle!
Mohammad Yusuf, a victim of some unidentified foolhardy goons, got the tiny bottle removed with the help of doctors who did it non-surgically.
Yusuf, in his late twenties, says that the bizarre incident took place when one day he was on his way back to home.
A group of local goons attacked him for robbing but failed to find out any substantial thing from him. Feeling let down, they pushed up an empty pint of liquor bottle through his anal passage.
“When I was returning to my home after day’s work, some goons tried to rob me off my money. When they failed to get anything, they bashed me up and pushed something inside my stomach via my lower passage. Later, I had stomach ache and visited the doctors here. I was informed that I had a bottle inside my stomach,” said Mohammad Yusuf, the patient.
Doctors too were taken aback on such a discovery and felt at their wits’ end for a while.
“This patient visited us complaining stomach ache. In his X-ray report we learnt that there was a glass bottle his belly. He told us how some goons inserted a bottle in his stomach through his anus. Now, we have pulled the bottle out without a surgical operation. It was difficult. But we got success. In fact, the patient is lucky to survive,” said Dr. Mejaz Ali.
Fearing for his life for the goons, Yusuf, has avoided filing a first information report (F.I.R) with the Bihar police. (ANI)
