Is anything real in reality shows?

Reality shows for talent search are very popular nowadays in India. Almost every national and regional channel is presenting at least one reality show like Sony’s Indian Idol, Star’s Amul Star Voice of India, Zee’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. I think most of the reality shows look like some stage drama. Every thing is pre planned behind these dramas. It is also believed that the eliminations and winners are pre-planned. They are just playing with the emotions of contestants and their families. What is your opinion?
