Be a Citizen Journalist
Itching to tell a story? We are itching too… itching to find good stories.
We at LivePunjab.com accept that we cannot cover all the news all of the time. That’s where you come in. For a comprehensive coverage, we are introducing 'citizen journalism' on LivePunjab.com.
Any one of you or your known ones can post a news story, picture, feature, or a discussion on the forums. You can raise an issue you're very concerned about, report a happening around you, post a picture about something happening around you. You WILL get heard, and what’s more, each of these submissions will earn you LP$s, which can be redeemed for cash at the end of the month. Posting comments and replying to queries also earn you LP$s.
And you don’t have to be a professional writer to write for us. Long as you know how to string a sentence together, know your words, can spot and tell a story in a clear and coherent way, you can write for us. That means it doesn’t matter if you are a housewife or a business woman, a student or a professional. A good story and a flair for writing is all we need in you.
There’s no commitment of regular contributions, no deadlines, and no editor hovering over your head. And in case we have to turn it down, we’ll still provide you with a critical evaluation of the write-up and suggest ways to improve it.
So if you believe some event has been 'under-reported'; or know a commendable charity, an extraordinary human, or a wonderful organization you feel our readers too should know about; or just feel that media did not cover a story the best possible way and that you could have done a better job, just sit in front of the computer for a while and start typing. If our editor likes it and finds it even remotely relevant to our website, you become a journalist!
If you are interested, just shoot him a mail at editor@trustsquare.net suggesting the story you want published on LivePunjab.com, and we’ll take it from there.
