Pakistan violated ceasefire agreement by firing and shelling mortars towards the Indian side.

It went on to accuse India of a deadly raid in which one of its soldiers died and another one is gravely injured. A Pakistani Army official issued a statement accusing Indian soldiers of crossing the border for conducting the said raid.

At the time of filing the report, the two sides were engaged in a yet another round of hostilities. Pakistan has violated the 2003 ceasefire a number of times in the past. Pakistan is believed to be aiding terrorists in crossing over to the Indian side in the guise of unprovoked shelling.

More details are awaited. Live Punjab will issue an update as soon as details about the incident are available.
