Look after your diet after Baby
Healthy diet is not only needed during the time of pregnancy but equal care is needed towards diet after giving birth as now the mother has to breast-feed her baby too. Listen to your body and eat accordingly, as when the baby gets older he will demand more of milk and thus you will also get hungry in return.
A lactating woman should be advised to eat an extra helping of the family food and regular consumption of green leafy vegetables. There is no need to avoid any specific foods. But, she should avoid use of excessive caffeine, tobacco, and alcohol etc. in her diet. Include lots of fresh fruits in your diet chart.
Have food that contains protein, calcium, vitamins, iron and last but not the least fiber, as constipation is one of the problem that woman usually face after giving birth.
Drink adequate amount of plain water, at least 8 to 10 glasses per day. Always keep a bottle of water near you. If you are severely dehydrated than drinking extra fluid will help.
