Film on Ahluwalia—an effort to remember and recognize the forgotten hero
Mahinder Singh Walia, telefilm’s producer, while speaking to media people revealed that historians are well aware of Ahluwalia and his contribution but today’s young generation has no idea who the great was, as he never got his due share in the history.
“He is a forgotten hero. Therefore, we decided to make this telefilm to make people aware of him and to ensure that he gets his due share in history,” said Walia.
About the warrior Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia
Sultan Ul Quam Nawab Jassa Singh Ahluwalia was the great Sikh warrior of the eighteenth century, who played a very important role when it came to resisting foreign invasions during his time.
However, unfortunately, despite his great contributions, he never got the kind of recognition reserved for a warrior of his caliber in the history.
He had successfully led the Sikh warriors against the frequent invasions attempts from Afghans and tyrannical rule of the Mughal administration in the eighteenth century.
