PUNMEDIA to publish magazines on developments by Punjab government
Punjab Information and Public Relations Minister Sewa Singh Sekhwan met the Board of Governors of the newly formed PUNMEDIA society on Wednesday and said that the first task for the society was to produce nicely-designed magazines, describing the strategies, programmes and accomplishments by the Punjab government.
He also asked the Board of Governors to appoint three renowned journalists as the editors of the three magazines in English, Hindi and Punjabi, and said that this will ensure that the work is done in a professional manner.
Sekhwan also pointed out the need of hiring other relevant staff that was needed for efficient functioning of the society and its work.
D S Mangat, Director of Information & Public Relations and a Member Secretary of the Society, said that the departmental website of Information and Public Relations Department will soon become functional and the magazines, press releases and various developmental stories will also be available online.
D S Guru, principal secretary information and public relations, K B S Sidhu, principal secretary finance, Satish Chandra, principal secretary planning and Senu Duggal, joint director public relations, were also present at the meeting.
