The Maharashtra state ministry is seeking to coordinate with the central government to ensure that Pakistan accepts their bodies.
Maharashtra Home Minister Jayant Patil said that the ministry would write to the Pakistan government for the last time asking them to accept the bodies of the slain terrorists killed in the 26/11 attacks.
Patil informed, "The letter will be sent through central home ministry. Neither of the earlier letters has been replied by Pakistan. This will be the last attempt after which we will be forced to take a call on disposing of the bodies."
The bodies of these terrorists lying in the mortuary of JJ Hospital were identified by Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving gunman.
Reportedly, the government would wait for Pakistan’s response for a few days before disposing off the bodies.
