Singer Mika Singh has honored the country by setting a new record for Indian singers by becoming the first Indian singer to perform for a crowd of more than 25,000 people in a foreign country.

Mika sang for the crowds of Australia at the Sydney Olympic stadium on the eve of Independence Day recently, amidst an overwhelming response from the audience.

Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and local Australians were the main constituents of the audience that went wild on famous blockbuster tracks of Mika like ‘Ae Ganpat,' ‘Dil Mein Baji Guitar,' ‘Mauja hi Mauja,' ‘Ibne Batuta’ and ‘Apni Toh Jaise Taise.'

The overjoyed Mika said, “Its great to receive so much love from so many people and I am very touched to see them turn out in such large numbers to hear me sing.

I am so glad that I could make them enjoy their evening and go back home with a smile on their faces!”

“It’s not everyday that one gets such amazing crowd to sing to and I hope to repeat this in India soon."

"I am very touched that the people bought tickets in such huge numbers to come and hear me sing. I’m sure they had the time of their lives,” he concluded.
