Reportedly, an Indian-origin American doctor, named Randeep Mann, has been found guilt for directing the car bomb attack on the head of the state's medical board in February last year.

The reports reveals that a federal jury on Aug. 9 passed the verdict against him for using mass destruction weapons, along with an explosive resulting in personal injury.

Trent Pierce, a family practitioner, had suffered serious injuries in the attack and also lost an eye, but he survived.

He was leaving his home in West Memphis, Arkansas, head to his clinic when the blast took place.

The blast heard a mile away, and it threw Pierce 6-feet into a flower bed.

Prosecutors argued that there was a clue which showed that an e-mail was sent by Randeep Mann to his brother in India with the subject line 'Pierce' and a photograph of the doctor, with the text, 'I hope this picture is good.'

The bomb was made from a spare tyre from a 2002 Nissan Altima, and prosecutors said a friend and business partner of Randeep Mann’s had an Altima whose spare was missing when federal agents executed a search warrant.

Wife charged
Mann's wife, Sangeeta aka Sue Mann, was charged with obstructing the investigation, concealing sign, blank checks, and making false statements to a grand jury. If convicted of obstruction, she could face up to 20 years in prison.

The U.S. District Judge Brian Miller has allowed Sue Mann to remain free on bond, pending her sentence. Her husband has been ordered to remain behind bars.
