Mumbai, July 19- Hillary Clinton has highlighted the role played by women in the growth and development of any nation. While expressing her full support for Indian women in spearheading the development of the country, she said she is really impressed by Indian women.

Pays a non-official visit to SEWA- While taking time from her official agenda, she visited SEWA (Self Employed Women’s Association), an non-government organization based in Mumbai.

Praising the role played by women, she said, “We simply cannot make progress in our world if we leave women behind. What SEWA has accomplished, the most vulnerable women can work their way towards self sufficiency and towards secured healthy lives and then its not just women who benefit, it's their families, their communities.”

She asserted that women should be provided with more rights to education, better health care, employment and the most important being the right to take a decision. Only then can any country look forward to rapid growth and development, said Clinton.

She said it’s the priority of the Indian government to provide increased education and employment opportunities for women, adding that she will do whatever she can to make it possible.

Earlier way back in 1995, Clinton had paid a visit at SEWA’s headquarters in Ahmedabad.
