Badal promises normalcy in Punjab soon

"We all are very hurt with the developments in the state but it is a religious issue and it is very difficult to control the emotions. But at some places the protestors turned very violent and we are trying our level best to curb them," the CM told a joint press conference with, Sukhbir Singh Badal, his son and deputy chief minister.
Explaining the riotous upsurge in the state, the CM said it just “happened suddenly” and the commotion quickly went through the inner boundaries of the state, spreading to major cities in no time.
“However, now the situation is under control and very soon things would become normal," Badal said, adding, "I have also talked to Foreign Minister S.M. Krishna over the phone and told him to ask the Austrian government to catch the guilty at the earliest.”
Home Minister P Chidambaram said, "What is happening in Punjab is a reaction to what happened in Vienna, Austria. We had no control over what happened in Vienna, Austria."
He revealed that 11 companies (approximately 1,100 personnel) of paramilitary forces have already been sent off to Punjab and 14 more will deployed, if the situation demands.
“Army has conducted flag marches in parts of Jalandhar to instill a sense of confidence among people,” said the CM of state.
Sukhbir Singh Badal claimed to have “expressed solidarity with the victims of Vienna clash by closing all our commercial establishments today (Monday)”.
