Akshay Kumar turns Sardar once again in ‘Patiala House’

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, once again will be seen donning the role of a Sikh (after the successful portrayal of a Sardar in hit film ‘Singh Is Kinng’) in his upcoming film ‘Patiala House.’

As per several tabloids reports, in the film ‘Patiala House’, Akki will be seen rubbing shoulders with top international cricket players as he is portraying the role of a cricketer in the film.

‘Patiala House’ is directed by Nikhil Advani and features stars like Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia and Anushka Sharma, apart from action-cum-comedy hero Akshay Kumar.

The film, which was supposed to be released in the latter half of this year, will now be releasing on Feb. 10, 2010, as per sources familiar with the matter.

‘Patiala House’ is one of the most awaited film of Akshay, where he will be seen portraying the role of a fast bowler in England’s cricket team.
Reportedly, to get his act right for the role, Akshay took bowling lessons from the veteran Indian cricketer Balwinder Singh Sandhu.

Some of the scenes in the film have been shot at the world famous stadiums like The Oval and Lords in London.

Reportedly, the film also boosts of featuring some of the real life cricketers alongside Akki such as former English player David Gower, Pakistani Kamran Akmal and Balwinder Singh Sandhu.
